It continues through the initial training and orientation process, where each field employee is required to be trained in a variety of safety areas including Safeland safety education course before they are eligible to work for our clients. Rudross Engineers has taken the proactive step and made the investment to ensure safe practices for its employees, its clients and the environment by hiring dedicated and full time safety personnel. This commitment is in response to a changing industry and Rudross Engineers has a heightened awareness of safe practices, commitment to protect valuable resources and willingness to go above and beyond OSHA standards. Rudross Engineers has invested in the WorkSTEPS program that creates a medically safe, legally compliant, scientific and objective means of matching a worker’s functional capabilities with the essential functions of the job. These test includes post-offer pre-employment testing, as well as post-employment testing which includes fit-for-duty testing, functional capacity evaluations and sincerity-of-effort testing. Our Safety team not only sets the best in class safety standards for the oil and gas drilling field but also makes frequent site visits to ensure safe practices and procedures are being met on our clients sites. Our HSE Coordinator’s meets regularly with our client’s safety teams to ensure a strong partnership and promote a one team environment where our employees and the client’s employees are sharing best practices and working together to ensure safety is at the forefront of the job.
Rudross Engineers has partnered with an outside safety consulting firm and through this partnership has access to its own OSHA 10 and 30 hour Instructors as well as PEC SafeLand, SafeGulf, CPR, First Aid, AED, Blood Borne Pathogen, Forklift, H2S, Fall protection and AAA Driver Improvement Program Certified Instructors. Combined with years of oil and gas experienced these instructors hold a Bachelor in Industrial Safety and a Master degree in Leadership with an emphasis in Adult Learning. Our investment in these courses ensures that each of our employees are trained in life and safety issues in the oil and gas industry, upstream, downstream, onshore or offshore. These courses meet API RP 75 & API RP T-1 requirements. These certifications offer our employee a strong understanding of safety knowledge prior to entering a company facility and while performing their assigned work duties. Rudross Engineers clients can be assured that our personnel working on their sites are well trained, certified and qualified. Our certifications have become the standard program for Rudross Engineers and exceeds the industry standards.
